Talde, awarded for the best expansion capital operation in 2015

July 11, 2016

The pioneering Private Equity GP Talde has been awarded for the best growth capital transaction in 2015 for its investment in Grupo BC, the leading provider in Spain and Latin America of outsourcing services (BPO) and management of registry checks.

Talde invested alongside Miura in Grupo BC in 2010, and sold the company to L-GAM in December 2015.

During this period, Grupo BC's sales doubled to 100 million euros and EBITDA nearly tripled to 15 million euros.

The prize is awarded by the Spanish Venture Capital & Private Equity Association (ASCRI), Deloitte and IESE Business School.

The keys to success consisted of the consolidation of leadership in Spain with more than 10 acquisitions executed in less than 5 years, diversifying the traditional mortgage business with two new divisions that reached 33% of total Group sales. In addition, the Group acquired Ciberlatam, the market leader in Mexico and Chile, to settle in Latin America and achieve organic growth in emerging markets such as Colombia and Peru.

Grupo BC’s strategy has combined geographic diversification, new services BPO commitment and strengthening the domestic market.
