TALDE PRIVATE EQUITY announces the sale of its stake in Iberfibra Group, a company based in Madrid which provides telecommunications services to private homes and businesses.
Talde Private Equity, owner of 25% of the shares through its vehicle Talde Capital II, FCR since 2011, has sold the entirety of its stake to the principle shareholders. The return on Talde´s investment has been satisfactory.
During the period of Talde´s involvement in the Holding, the group underwent an important transformation, especially with regards to its activity of commercializing Iberdrola´s fiber optic network, more than 17,000 kilometers around Spain and with interconnection to its principle data centers.
Iberfibra has also been the No.1 telecommunication provider constructing 4G-LTE network stations with 3.5GHz frequencies with national coverage.
In 2015, Masmóvil bought Iberfibra´s telecommunication operator Neo Operador. Masmóvil is a provider of telecommunications services (fixed line, mobile and internet for private homes, companies and operators). It is listed on the MAB and is now the 4th biggest telecommunications company in Spain.
